ABOUT piece of cake
PIECE OF CAKE is an acoustic trio! It consist of Nicoletta Tiberini on vocals, Marco Tiberini on vocals and guitar and Gianni Caruso on percussions and they play live music, mostly covers, around Milan, Italy...
... with a repertoire streching from American folk-blues from the '60 and '70, contemporary "singer-songwriter" songs and some international hits.
ABOUT Nicoletta
Nicoletta Tiberini (voce) has studied singing since 1998 and is soon finishing her Bachelor in jazz at the Conservatory in Como. She is also:
- soprano of the swing trio Apricot Tree,
- singer in the group Picotage performing traditional French music in Italy and abroad,
- works with the cultural association Musicamorfosi,
- participating in the Swedish-Italian music project Swit Music.
ABOUT Marco
Marco Tiberini (guitar) has studied classic guitar and played bass with the rockband Mud Hair Jongleur for many many years. He also:
- shared stage with Johnny Lang and Deep Purple when playing with Mud Hair Jongleur at Pistoia Blues Festival 1999.
- has written several songs, alone, together with Mud Hair Joungler or lyrisist Lina Lindèn.
- participates in the Swedish-Italian music project Swit Music
ABOUT Gianni
Gianfranco Caruso (percussion) has studied music at Modena Musical Academy, especially percussions like djembè. He also:
- plays with Mud Hair Jongleur since 2000.
- has written, and recieved awards and recognition for his songs and poetry.
- is an active painter and member of the Arte 2000 group and has frequently individual and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
